Sorry I’m late

Wow, I am a day late posting. I am so sorry. This week has been challenging, and this will be a short post. Last Friday, Jane was excited about being able to ride the bus. When school was out and the bus got to the bus stop, Jane was very slow to get off the bus. I thought that she was just so excited about the bus ride. I hurried the kids into the car as we had to get to an appointment. I didn’t notice that Jane was just so tired. We got done with the appointment, and Jane was crying. I asked what was wrong, and she said her legs hurt. We got home, and she was so thirsty. I gave her some juice. She drank it.

It was a scorching day, and I thought maybe she was dehydrated and overheated. She laid down and didn’t move. I asked her if she didn’t feel well. I felt her forehead and realized she had a fever. I put it up to heat exhaustion. I was wrong. She vomited. She didn’t quite understand what was going on. She had never really vomited before. I got her a bowl and explained what it was for, and she laid down.

Poor Jane was sick the entire weekend. She was well and had had no fever since Saturday. On Monday, she went back to school good as new. Once again excited to be riding the bus.

Tuesday evening, Jimmy started whining more than usual. I worked hard to get frustrated with him and yell. I realized that he had a fever when I was getting him into bed. Here we go again. Jimmy was up most Tuesday night vomiting. He didn’t get the bowl idea, and we almost ran out of sheets for his bed.

He was sick all day Wednesday. Wednesday evening, he perked up a bit. He went to bed fine but woke up in the middle of the night with croup. Croup is such a scary thing. When he gets sick it always goes to croup. He woke up Thursday croupy and stayed whiny all day long.

So here we are, Friday, and I am writing this post. I am sorry that this is not the one I promised. I will work on it this weekend and see if I can’t get it out next week

I hope you have a great week. Leave a comment to let me know your thoughts. See you soon.
